Břevnov monastery brewery

This microbrewery is located next to the Břevnov Monastery, which is the country's oldest and dates back to the 9th century. Even then, beer was brewed on site. The current microbrewery is new.

The tour started with a very short lecture about the history of the place, followed by a short film about the history of the brewery and a review of the brewing process. Then you can visit a small glass museum and a very old storage room in the basement.

We continue to the brewery itself, where we see and possibly taste the main ingredients for that beer, namely hops and malt, at the same time as we get a taste of the lovely unfiltered and unpasteurized beer, which is tapped directly from the storage tanks.

Finally, we see the fermentation and storage tanks, as well as the large sacks of malt

Danish-speaking guide on the entire trip.

The brewery visit takes approx. 1 hour and the brewery itself is located on the outskirts of Prague. You can take public transport to the brewery or drive there in your own bus. We may possibly arrange lunch or dinner at the monastery restaurant next to the brewery.
