Velvet Revolution

We will take a walk for a little bit more than one hour in the historical centre of Prague. Our guide will introduce you to the history of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic.

You will learn about World War I and II, the assassination of Heydrich in 1942, how the communists took over in 1948, the Prague spring in 1968, the break down of communism in 1989 with Havel as the main character and finally how the country was split up into the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the nineties. We will visit many of the streets and squares where these events actually took place.

This tour ends in the Museum of Communism, where you can see a lot of posters and objects from the period. You will also have the possibility to watch some movies.

The price includes pick up from you hotel, English speaking guide and entry to the Museum of Communism.
