Visit the brewery Pilsner Urquell.

Pilsner brewery is located approximately 1.5 hour drive west of Prague. It is the country's largest with an annual production of approximately 10 mill. hectoliters in the whole group, including 5 million. brewed at the brewery in Pilsen, which is roughly equivalent to what is consumed in Denmark in a year.

The tour takes about 100 minutes, and we start at the visitor center with a little bit of info about the brewery. Then we drive by bus to the bottling hall, which is one of the most modern in Europe. After the bottling hall we will see a very informative film about the brewery and about the brewing process and then we will see, smell and taste of malt and hops, which are the main ingredients in the good beer. Next, we enter the new hall from 2004, when the beer is boiled, and where also the first cooking vessel from the start in 1842 is on display. Finally, a historical section with photos and objects from the brewery's earliest years.

The last stop on the tour is a visit to the brewery's historical warehouse cellar with a temperature of five degrees. There we have the opportunity to taste a speciality, an unfiltered and unpasteurized Pilsner Urquel stored in one of the brewery's original oak barrels.

After the tour, there will be the opportunity to enjoy more of the good beer. You can also eat lunch in the brewery's own restaurant.

After the visit of brewery, located in Pilsen's center, there is the opportunity for free time on the main square.
