    Skoda Factory and Museum

    The Skoda factory was founded in 1895 and is today located in Mlada Boleslav a little bit more than one hour's drive from Prague. After the communist break down it was taken over by VW. The visit starts in the Skoda Museum with two short movies about the history and the production of Skoda cars. After that we will have a show around in the museum to see the first Skoda productions - bicycles. ...

    The Skoda factory was founded in 1895 and is today located in Mlada Boleslav a little bit more than one hour's drive from Prague. After the communist break down it was taken over by VW.

    The visit starts in the Skoda Museum with two short movies about the history and the production of Skoda cars. After that we will have a show around in the museum to see the first Skoda productions - bicycles. We will, too, admire a lot of the cars from different decades up to today, and more special cars like fire engines, president cars, racers etc.

    The last part of this visit will take us to two factory halls. The first one shows us how the gear boxes are produced, In the second we will see the assembly line of Skoda Octavia.

    Kutná Hora

    This unique town is protected by UNESCO and really worth visiting. It sprang up because some very rich silver veins were discovered in the underground in the 13th century. Afterwards wooden houses were built without planning on the spot, which gives the town its pictoresque look. In the Middle Ages Kutna Hora was a competitor to Prague to be the most important town in the area ...

In the Middle Ages Kutna Hora was a competitor to Prague to be the most important town in the area. 

    We are going to visit the impressing church of St. Barbara, which was constructed in the 14th centrury by the same architects, who built the St. Vitus`cathedral on the Prague Castle.

    Then you have a few hours on your own. F. ex to visit the Small Castle, where the excursion includes a walk in one of the silver mines or you can go to the Italian Court or just have a nice lunch in one of the cosy restaurants in the center of town.

    Finally we drive to the outskirts of Kutna Hora to visit the bone church, where the macabre interior consists of decorations made out of the bones from 40.000 human beings. The bones are arranged in chandeliers, pyramides, coats of arms etc.

    Koneprusy Caves

    This tour brings us to the dripstone caves in Koneprusy. We will take a one hour walk in the different rooms in two floors to admire the beautiful, coloured formations and also to see copies of the founds from the caves ...

    The Koneprusy dripstone caves are placed app. 45 minutes drive from Prague. They were discovered in 1950 and made accessible for the public in 1959. Our guide will take you for a one hour long sightseeing in these impressing caves. In the many rooms we will see different dripstone formations in beautiful colours. We will have the chance to admire and learn about stalactikes, stalagmites and stalagnates. In the biggest cave there are examples of the famous Koneprusy roses, which are a speciel kind of dripstone formation. In one of the rooms we can see copies of bones from homo sapiens, makak monkey, deer and the woollen rhino. The last stop shows the money forgery workshop from the 15th century.

    This historical tour brings you to the places where the dramatic events in the 20th century took place. You will learn about the two world wars, the communist period, the break down of communism and how Czechoslavakia was split up in the nineties. ...

    We will take a walk for a little bit more than one hour in the historical centre of Prague. Our guide will introduce you to the history of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic.

    You will learn about World War I and II, the assassination of Heydrich in 1942, how the communists took over in 1948, the Prague spring in 1968, the break down of communism in 1989 with Havel as the main character and finally how the country was split up in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the nineties. We will visit many of the streets and squares where theese events actually took place.

    This tour ends in the Museum of Communism, where you can see a lot of posters and objects from the period. You will also have the possibility to watch some movies.

    Lidice

    In may 1942 the German Deputy Reichs-Protector was murderd by Czech parachutists. The German revenge was terrible, they murdred a lot of people in the villages aroung Prague. This tour brings us to Lidice, where the town was burnt down and all men killed on the spot ...

    In May 1942 the German Deputy Reich-Protector, Reinhard Heydrich was assassinated in Prague by some Czech parachutists. The German revenge for this was terrible. They sought out some villages around Prague, burned them down and murdered at random.

    Among them was Lidice, a small village app. 25 km west of Prague, where all men and boys older than 16 were executed on the spot and women and smaller children sent to extinction camps in Polen and the Baltic countries.

    On this excursion to Lidice we will visit a very interesting museum, which shows different items from the time and from the village. There are many original photos and short films from this tragic event, too.

    Later we will take a walk in the present park, which was earlier the village Lidice. We will pass by some of the ruins of the school, the church and other houses, which were burnt down by the Germans. And we will see a monument of those 72 children who were sent to Ausschwitz and gased there.

You will have the chance to see how things are working in Prague and compare it to your own institution. We will start with a small lecture and then you will be showed around in the institution ...

    We can arrange for you visits in a long row of institutions, schools factories etc in and around Prague. You will get an excellent idea of how things are working in the Czech Republic and have the possibility to compare it with your own situation. The visit typically consists of a small lecture, held by the leader of the institution, followed by the possibility to ask questions.

    Later you will be showed around in the institution or - if it is a kind of school - your students will meet Czech students for a talk in smaller groups.

    The visit could take place in primary school, gymnasium, kindergarden, orphanage, home fro drug addicts, home for physically or mentally disabled people, rest home for older people.

    We can, too, arrange visits in building cites, factories etc.

    We can arrange different lectures, held by foreigners living in Prague or local Czech people. We have contact to several different people, who are experts on different subjects. The lecture will typically consist of a speech or introduction of 30-60 min, followed by the possibility to ask questions. 

     

     

    Subjects:

    A) The social system. Maternity leave, school system, salaries, taxes, prices for renting flats and houses, social security, health service, retirement etc.

    B) School system (extended), young in the Czech Republic, sport and leisure time.

    C) Historical overview. The Czech history from 10th century to today, especially focused on the period after WW II, the Prague Spring, the Velvet Revolution. etc.

    D) Business. How to establish and run a company in the Czech Republic today.

    Melnik - wine tasting and bone church

    In this nice town north of Prague the Elbe and Moldau meet. We offer you a visit in the macabre ossuary, with decoration exclusively of bones from human beings, a tour in the interior of the wine castle, where the noble families have been living and a wine tasting of the local wines in the original wine cellar. We will have lunch on the town square. ...

    This charming town is situated app. 25 km north of Prague on the spot, where the rivers the Elbe and Moldau meet. In this vineyard the Ludmila grapes are grown.

    From the parking lot we will walk to the castle area. Next to the church of St. Peter and St. Paul we will visit the ossuary, where the decoration consists of the bones from 10.000 - 15.000 human beings.

    Next stop is the wine castle, where the wine was grown already in the Middle Ages, and it was the residence of the queen widows. For more than 250 years the castle has been owned by the noble family Lobkowicz.

    In the castle we go for a tour onour own, equipped with written information.

    Finally we will visit the authentic wine cellar, where we can still admire the several hundred years old wine barrels. We offer you a wine tasting with a sample of six different wines from the castle.

    We will, too, have time for a nice lunch in one of the cosy restaurants on the town square.

    We got to the famous spa town Karlovy Vary. On our walk through town we will pass the colonnades, taste the mineral water from some of the healthy springs and have a nice lunch. Our last visit in Karlovy Vary will be in the Becherovka museum for a tour there and some samples of this famous national liqueur ...

    Karlovy Vary is the most famous spa town in the Czech Pepublic. It is known for the 12 mineral springs.

    Its history dates back to the 14th century and throughout history many of the most important, European personalities have visited the town. We can mention Russian tsars, English kings, many of the great composers and Goethe.

    We will take a stroll through town, passing some of the impressing colonnades, with the possibility to taste the mineral water from some of the springs. In the middle of town we get to the most famous of them - Vridlo, that springs up to 14 meter.

    We will lead you to a cosy restaurant for a nice lunch.

    Karlovy Vary is also known for the production of crystal in the Moser glass factory, the Thun porcellain and for the Czech national spirit, the Becherovka, which is a herb liqueur of 38 pct alcohol. We offer you a tour in the factory and some samples of this excellent drink.

    Cesky Krumlov

    Cesky Krumlov in South Bohemia is one of the nicest towns in the Czech Republic. We take a walk in the small, cosy alleys in the Old Town, heading for lunch. Later we cross Moldau to get to the most interesting castle for a tour inside. Then you have a few hours on your own until we go to the brewery for a local beer, before we go back to Prague ...

    Cesky Krumlov is probably the second most interesting town in the Czech Republic. It is placed in a beautiful area in South Bohemia.

    By right it is registered at UNESCO heritage list. The centre of town consists of 300 historical houses in the narrow, bended, little streets at Moldau, that winds through the Old Town.

    In different centuries three noble families - the Rosenbergs, the  Eggenbergs and the Schwarzenbergs - have all dominated the area and the town and have been living in many of the houses. They have, too, been the owners of the brewery and the castle, which after the Prague castle is the biggest in the Czech Republic.

    From the parking lot we take a walk in the historical centre and find a nice restaurant for lunch. 

    Later we cross the river Moldau to get to the castle for a visit in the interior. Then you will have a couple of hours on your own to see more parts of the castle, visit the oldest theatre in the world or just for a walk in the enormous gardens connected to the castle. You will find an outdoor theatre with rotating auditorium and a fish pound.

    We will end our visit in Cesky Krumlov in the town brewery for a beer, before we enter the bus and go back to Prague.

    We offer you 18 holes in the fresh air. Our minibus will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the golf course. After a nice day with a lot of exercise in the beautiful nature the bus will bring you back to your hotel.

    The size of the golf course is approximately 5000 m2

It was built in the 13th century, but is mostly known, because it was the last residence of Franz Ferdinand d'Este, the successor of the Habsburg throne. He was murdered in Sarajevo in 1914, which started World War I. We walk from the parking lot a little bit up hill through the beautiful nature to the castle. ...

    The evening begins as we take you to a really nice Czech restaurant in the center, where we start with a glass of Czech champagne followed by a delicious three-course meal with a drink. Then we go to the theater to watch a breathtaking beautiful and colorful show with black light effects that Prague is so famous for. The show is without words and therefore also ideal for unforgettable evening for children. Black-light theater originated from the East, but Prague is one of the few places in Europe where you can experience it.

    It is a breathtaking beautiful and very colorful show with lots of black-light effects that this theater form is so famous for. In front of the stage, some of the actors who perform a traditional fun with comedy, mime and sketches, but without words, so everyone can easily understand what it is about. Sometimes this is spots where other actors appear, dressed entirely in black. Due to the very special light effects - black light - you can not see these actresses, but one can easily see the paraphernalia that they have on stage and performing some strange maneuvers.

    After this visit we go on to Jicin for lunch in this little, cosy town, which is placed close to the Czech Paradise. Then we go a few km to one of the areas with the impressing sandstone formations. You will have a walk up and down between the rocks, which were created several thousand years ago and then formed by wind and rain, frost and heat. You can choose between a short tour of 30-45 min and the longer one, that takes up to 90 min.

    The Czech beer is maybe the best in the world. On this tour we will walk the nice and cosy, narrow alleys in the Old Town, and we will visit a number of local pubs to taste some of the local brands ...

    On this pubcrawl it is obvious, that we will enjoy a lot of the excellent, world famous Czech beer. We will visit some af the typical, local pubs in the narrow side streets, where the waiters manage to serve two handfulls of big beers in one go. We will start the tour with the local spirit, Becherovka, which is a mixture between schnaps and liqueur, and then we will visit a number of bars to check out some of the many different kinds of tasty beer.  

    As there will be no time to have dinner on the tour, so please don't show up hungry.
